Today is Self-Injury Awareness Day. One in five teens say they have purposely injured themselves. You know a self-harmer, whether you know or or not. It’s not just loners who self-injure; they come in all shapes and sizes. They suffer from the stigma that people who self-harm just want attention. Self harmers aren’t just looking for attention, but they DO need attention. They need someone to tell them it’s okay to get help. So wear orange today or draw an orange ribbon on your wrist.
